Government - Subcategories:

U.S. Government

FBI – Internet Fraud Complaint Center

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) joined forces in a unique partnership to aid and protect consumers in this largely unregulated environment. The Internet Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC) is the result of that venture. Its Web site provides a mechanism for victims of Internet fraud to report fraud on-line – where it occurred – to the appropriate law enforcement and regulatory authorities.

FedCenter.com

FedCenter.com is the largest electronic marketplace worldwide designed exclusively for government buyers.

Federal Communications Commission

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent United States government agency, directly responsible to Congress. The FCC was established by the Communications Act of 1934 and is charged with regulating interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable. The FCC's jurisdiction covers the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. possessions.  See also the FCC Wireless Telecommunications Bureau and information on the FCC Universal Licensing System.

It carries out this mission through a portfolio of four major programs: Measurements and Standards Laboratories, Advanced Technology Program, Manufacturing Extension Partnership, and Baldrige National Quality Award.

National Telecommunications & Information Administration

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce, is the Executive Branch's principal voice on domestic and international telecommunications and information technology issues. NTIA works to spur innovation, encourage competition, help create jobs and provide consumers with more choices and better quality telecommunications products and services at lower prices.

The United Nations Information Technology Service creates a worldwide program for information technology volunteers. They work with developing country partners to strengthen capacities for applying information and communications technologies (ICT) to human development, in particular in areas such as health, education, environment and small and micro- enterprises.

World Trade Organization

The World Trade Organization (WTO) is the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. At its heart are the WTO agreements, negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world’s trading nations and ratified in their parliaments. The goal is to help producers of goods and services, exporters, and importers conduct their business.
