IFILM targets broadband customers

Online entertainment company IFILM and Terra Lycos
have teamed to beef up streaming media content to attract broadband
users.
Premium movie content from Lycos Entertainment will be combined
with IFILM's 80,000 short films, movie clips, trailers and viral
videos -- outrageous e-mail attachments users can forward to friends
to enhance the offering of Lycos Entertainment Television.
Lycos Entertainment Television also is designed to offer advertisers
and sponsors various marketing options, including rich media sponsorship
and IFILM's ISTREAM broadband commercials. According to recent
research from The Yankee Group, the market for streaming media-enabled
advertising will reach $3.1 billion by 2005.
