Sticking with its promise to deliver automated service
management options to customers, Liberate Technologies has unveiled
a suite of software targeted at digital services automation.
When Liberate announced plans to acquire OSS company Sigma Systems
in July, it said the companies' complementary products will help
reduce churn by putting more power in the hands of consumers by
enabling them to use their television sets to add services, etc.
Liberate's Digital Services Automation suite is designed to automate
provisioning, configuration, call centers, customer service and
technical support.
The iTV software company has expanded and categorized its product
portfolio to cover the eight core components of the digital network:
consumer services, business rules, business operations, services
platform, integration platform, network platform, consumer devices
and developer tools.
For example, in the area of consumer services, Liberate
is offering Liberate Consumer Services from PopTV Partners, Liberate
Service Manager, Liberate TV Ticker, Liberate Movies-on-Demand,
Liberate Self-Provisioning and Liberate Self-Care. These products
are designed to let the consumer more easily interact with digital
services and while enabling operators to promote, sell and manage
the services, according to Liberate.
