Flynn-Ripley named Stargus CEO

Road Runner alumna Meredith Flynn-Ripley has taken over the reins as president and CEO of cable network management provider Stargus Inc.

She replaces Russ Stephens, who recently left the company to pursue other interests.

A former MediaOne Group exec, Flynn-Ripley helped start up the Road Runner high-speed Internet service, and served as vice president of corporate development there for several years. Flynn-Ripley most recently served as president and CEO of Into Networks, a software-on-demand outfit.

Andover, Mass.-based Stargus provides the CableEdge management software suite designed specifically for DOCSIS networks.

“As Stargus quickly transitions out of market trials and into customer engagements, Meredith brings to the company extensive operations, business development and product management experience at a large MSO, cable modem Internet service provider and a private software company selling to MSOs,” said Stephen Van Beaver, a Stargus board director and general partner at Pilot House Ventures. “Her diverse skill set and deep industry relationships will help focus and accelerate the company in deploying its CableEdge products.”
